Come to the College of Western Idaho Micron Building parking lot from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for free shredding and electronic recycling. Protect your identity and your money from theft and receive valuable information on records destruction and retention from the experts.
Don't know what to shred and what to keep?
Here's a quick run-down:
-Keep for one month: credit card receipts
-Keep for three years: bank statements, expired insurance policies, employment applications, medical bills and -more.
-Keep for seven years: Invoices, canceled stock certificates, payroll records, withholding statements, and more
-Keep permanently: deeds, mortgages, tax returns, audit reports, insurance records, legal correspondence, property records, and more.
